Konica Minolta has launched the all new bizhub PRO C6500eP, a printer only, high speed colour press in its award winning bizhub range.  A relative of the bizhub PRO C6500e, this new production colour printer features additional configurations and functionality designed to meet the needs of the production printing market.

The bizhub PRO C6500e/eP provides 11 customised configurations for the specific needs of central reprographic departments (CRDs) and print for pay shops, with a further five to follow later in the year. The additional printer-only version helps to enhance flexibility of service by catering for the needs of customers and could also be an option for commercial printers.

Additional configurations include various combinations of folding, stapling and booklet finishing designed specifically for mailing, flyers and brochures.

Olaf Lorenz, General Manager, Product Marketing Division for Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, says: "Inhouse printshops, CRDs and print for pay shops need a large variety of finishing options to be able to respond flexibly to their customer's requirements. With the large number of configurations available for our colour production flagship we provide them with the tools to cater for any print job."

The bizhub PRO C6500eP is suitable for heavy-duty production, capable of handling up to 300,000 A4 sheets per month. The device has an output capacity of up to 65 pages per minute, in both full colour and black and white. The bizhub PRO C6500e is also able to cope with weights up to 300 g/m2, provides a full and flexible range of printing choices and is still capable of printing on paper, card, or coated stock.
